Section 31-9-40 Compact adopted and enacted. The Emergency Management Assistance Compact is enacted into law and entered with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially as follows: THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE COMPACT Article I - Purpose and Authorities. This compact is made and entered into by and between the participating member states which enact this compact, hereinafter called party states. For the purpose of this agreement, the term "states" is taken to mean the several states, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and all U.S. territorial possessions. Section 34-25A-5 Application for licensure or registration. (a) Except as provided in subsection (h) or (i), no person shall administer prosthetic, orthotic, or pedorthic care in this state unless licensed or registered to do so in accordance with this chapter. The board shall issue approved forms for application prior to January 1, 2003. Section 40-12-248 License taxes and registration fees - Trucks or truck tractors - Generally. (a) For each truck or truck tractor using the public highways of this state, annual license taxes and registration fees based on the gross vehicle weight in pounds are imposed and shall be charged. For the purposes of this section, the term "gross vehicle weight" shall mean the empty weight of the truck or truck tractor plus the heaviest load to be carried and, in the case of combinations, shall be deemed to include also the empty weight of the heaviest trailer with which the power unit shall be placed in combination, plus the heaviest load to be carried.
