Section 33-1-31 Rules and regulations; violations. The port authority is authorized to formulate and promulgate rules and regulations for the operation of any seaport or harbor within the state. Any person, firm, association, or corporation violating any of the rules and regulations established or authorized to be established by this chapter shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor and for each offense shall be subjected to a fine of not exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000) and may also be imprisoned for not more than one year.
