Section 27-29-4 Registration of insurers. (a)(1) Every insurer which is authorized to do business in this state and which is a member of an insurance holding company system shall register with the commissioner, except a foreign insurer subject to registration requirements and standards adopted by statute or regulation in the jurisdiction of its domicile which are substantially similar to those contained in this section and both of the following: a. Subdivision (1) of subsection (a) of Section 27-29-5, and subsections (b) and (d) of Section 27-29-5. b. Section 32-13-2 Removal of motor vehicles; liability; lien on vehicles removed; notice. (a) A law enforcement officer or, in a Class 1 municipality, a parking enforcement officer or traffic enforcement officer who is not required to be certified by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission, may cause a motor vehicle to be removed to the nearest garage or other place of safety under any of the following circumstances: (1) The motor vehicle is left unattended on a public street, road, or highway or other property for a period of at least 48 hours. Section 32-7A-11 Online insurance verification system - Notification upon inability to verify existing insurance; proof of coverage; penalties. (a)(1) When the department is unable to verify that liability insurance coverage exists for a motor vehicle registered or required to be registered in this state, the department shall send the registrant notice via U.S. mail at the last known address as reflected on the department's motor vehicle registration records. The notice shall require that the registrant, within 30 calendar days of the date of the notice, provide evidence of continuous liability insurance coverage for the vehicle for the period specified by the department. Section 32-8-84 Unclaimed motor vehicles; suspension of registration of stolen or converted vehicles. (a) The following shall be considered an unclaimed motor vehicle: (1) A motor vehicle left unattended on a public road or highway for more than 48 hours. (2) A motor vehicle, not left on private property for repairs, that has remained on private or other public property for a period of more than 48 hours without the consent of the owner or lessee of the property. (3) A motor vehicle, left on private property for repairs, that has not been reclaimed within 48 hours from the latter of either the date the repairs were completed or the agreed upon redemption date. Section 35-8A-316 Lien for assessments. (a) The association has a lien on a unit for any assessment and any other moneys due the association for special assessments or services or charges, such as water or repairs, levied against that unit or fines imposed against its unit owner from the time the assessment or fine becomes due. The association's lien may be foreclosed in like manner as a mortgage on real estate provided the declaration is in conformity with Article 1A of Chapter 10 of this title and subject to the rights under Article 14A of Chapter 5 of Title 6.
