Section 32-7A-10 Online insurance verification system - Failure to allow access. (a) If any
insurance company shall fail to consistently allow access through an online insurance verification
system to verify coverage of motor vehicle liability insurance coverage, the department shall
notify the Insurance Commissioner of any and all violations by an insurer of Sections 32-7A-9
and 32-7B-5. (b) The department shall prescribe the form and manner of transmission for the
purposes of notifying the Insurance Commissioner under subsection (a). (c) The Insurance Commissioner
may impose a fine of up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) per violation following a hearing,
if, after receiving a notice of a potential violation of any material provision of Section
32-7A-9 or 32-7B-5 from the Insurance Commissioner, it is found that an insurer willfully

Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery
or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving
motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state
as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Failure to
comply with this subsection may result in a department imposed penalty of not less than five
hundred dollars ($500) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be multiplied by the
sum of the current violation plus prior violations of this subsection. (b) Every person transporting
motor fuel in Alabama in a highway vehicle other than in its supply tank shall carry on board

Section 23-2-171 Defense against liability. The owner of the motor vehicle involved in the
violation is responsible and liable for payment of a citation issued for failure to pay a
toll, unless: (1) The owner can establish that the motor vehicle was stolen at the time of

Section 6-5-332.5 Persons who rescue child or incapacitated person from unattended motor vehicle;
public safety officials. (a) As used in this section, the following terms shall have the following
