Section 32-7-17 Installment payment of judgments. (a) A judgment debtor, upon due notice to
the judgment creditor, may apply to the court in which such judgment was rendered for the
privilege of paying such judgment in installments; and the court, in its discretion and without
prejudice to any other legal remedies which the judgment creditor may have, may so order and
fix the amounts and times of payment of the installments. (b) The director shall not suspend
a license, registration, or a nonresident's operating privilege and shall restore any license,
registration or nonresident's operating privilege suspended following nonpayment of a judgment
when the judgment debtor gives proof of financial responsibility and obtains such an order
permitting the payment of such judgment in installments and while the payment of any said

Section 32-7-14 Suspension of license, registration, or operating privilege for nonpayment
of judgment. (a) Suspension for nonpayment of judgment. The director upon the receipt of a
certified copy of a judgment shall forthwith suspend the license and registration and any
nonresident's operating privilege of any person against whom such judgment was rendered, except
as hereinafter otherwise provided in this section and in Section 32-7-17. (b) Exceptions.

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among

Section 32-7-15 Suspension to continue until judgments paid and proof given. The license, registration,
and nonresident's operating privilege shall remain suspended and shall not be renewed, nor

Section 32-7-9 Application to nonresidents, unlicensed drivers, unregistered motor vehicles
and accidents in other states. (a) In case the operator or the owner of a motor vehicle involved
in an accident within this state has no license or registration or is a nonresident, he shall

Section 32-7-7 Further exceptions to requirement of security. The requirements as to security
and suspension in Section 32-7-6 shall not apply to any of the following persons: (1) The
operator or the owner of a motor vehicle involved in an accident wherein no injury or damage

Section 30-3-170 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words shall have the
following meanings: (1) COURT. A court of competent jurisdiction or administrative agency

Section 32-5A-195 Cancellation, suspension, or revocation of driver's license; grounds, procedure,
etc. (a) The Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency is authorized to cancel
any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof
or that the licensee failed to give the correct or required information in his or her application.
Upon such cancellation, the licensee must surrender the license so cancelled. If the licensee
refuses to surrender the license, he or she shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (b) The privilege
