Section 25-13-19 Insurance policies. (a) Elevator contractors shall submit to the administrator an insurance policy, or certified copy thereof, issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in the state to provide general liability coverage of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000) for injury or death of any number of persons in any one occurrence and with coverage of at least five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for property damage in any one occurrence and the statutory workers' compensation insurance coverage. Section 32-7A-10 Online insurance verification system - Failure to allow access. (a) If any insurance company shall fail to consistently allow access through an online insurance verification system to verify coverage of motor vehicle liability insurance coverage, the department shall notify the Insurance Commissioner of any and all violations by an insurer of Sections 32-7A-9 and 32-7B-5. (b) The department shall prescribe the form and manner of transmission for the purposes of notifying the Insurance Commissioner under subsection (a). Notwithstanding any other provision of law: (1) An insurer may terminate or otherwise change the terms and conditions of a policy of portable electronics insurance only upon providing the policyholder and enrolled customers with at least 30 days' notice. Section 32-7A-17 Reinstatement of suspended registration; verification by license plate issuing officials. (a) License plate issuing officials shall not register or re-register a motor vehicle or transfer the license plates if the registration is suspended pursuant to Section 32-7A-12.
