Section 32-7-37 Other violations; penalties. (a) Failure to report an accident as required in Section 32-7-5 shall be punished by a fine not in excess of $25.00, and in the event of injury or damage to the person or property of another in such accident, the director shall suspend the license of the person failing to make such report or the nonresident's operating privilege of such person until such report has been filed and for such further period not to exceed 30 days as the director may fix. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02. (a) The following shall be considered an unclaimed motor vehicle: (1) A motor vehicle left unattended on a public road or highway for more than 48 hours.
