Section 30-3-170 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) COURT. A court of competent jurisdiction or administrative agency having the authority to issue and enforce support orders. (2) DELINQUENT or DELINQUENCY. A support debt or support obligation due and unpaid in an amount equal to or greater than six months support payments as of the date of service of a notice of intent to suspend or revoke a license. (3) DEPARTMENT. The Alabama Department of Human Resources, including the county departments of human resources. (4) LICENSE. (a) Subject to subsection (b), each person operating a motorcycle shall be granted all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of any other vehicle under this chapter, except as to special regulations in this article and except as to those provisions of this chapter which by their nature can have no application. Section 40-17-338 Discontinuance of business by a licensee. (a) A licensee who discontinues in its entirety the business for which a license was authorized by this article shall notify the department in writing at least 10 days prior to the time of the discontinuance, sale, or transfer takes effect, and shall surrender the license to the department.
