Section 23-7-6 Funding; pledge of revenues. (a) The following sources may be used to capitalize the bank and for the bank to carry out its purposes: (1) An annual contribution, as determined by the Director of the Department of Transportation and approved by the Governor, of an amount not to exceed revenues produced by one cent ($.01) a gallon of the tax on gasoline imposed pursuant to subdivision (1) of subsection (a) of Section 40-17-325. Any funds contributed pursuant to this subdivision shall be derived from the gasoline tax proceeds collected during the fiscal year remaining in the Public Road and Bridge Fund after distributions of the tax to the cities and counties. Section 13A-11-75 Permit to carry pistol in vehicle or concealed on person - Issuance; fee; revocation; release of information. (a)(1)a. The sheriff of a county, upon the application of any person residing in that county, within 30 days from receipt of a complete application and accompanying fee, shall issue or renew a permit for such person to carry a pistol in a vehicle or concealed on or about his or her person within this state for one- to five-year increments, as requested by the person seeking the permit, from date of issue, unless the sheriff determines that the person is prohibited from the possession of a pistol or firearm pursuant to state or federal law, or has a reasonable suspicion that the person may use a weapon unlawfully or in such other manner that would endanger the person's self or others. Section 32-5A-191.4 Ignition interlock devices. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02.
