Section 32-6-62.1 Temporary registration and license plates for certain vehicles permanently licensed in another jurisdiction. (a) Any person who takes delivery within this state of a new passenger vehicle or new truck manufactured within this state of a gross weight not exceeding 8,000 pounds, from the manufacturer or an affiliated corporation, and if the vehicle is to be permanently licensed in another jurisdiction, upon application to the judge of probate or license commissioner of the county in which the manufacturer is located, upon providing proof of ownership of the vehicle, and upon payment of a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25), shall be issued a temporary metal license plate to be affixed to the vehicle and a temporary registration certificate. Section 40-12-43.1 Added fee for private examining or collecting firms. Every private examining or collecting firm shall pay a separate annual state license fee of twenty-five dollars ($25), no later than October 1 of each year or within 30 days of entering into a contract with a county or municipality, with proceeds to be paid by the state Comptroller to the Alabama Local Tax Institute of Standards and Training established under Section 40-2A-15, for the administration of the institute's examiner certification program. Section 45-17-80.02 Additional court costs - Domestic violence cases. In addition to all other costs and charges in circuit, district, and municipal court cases in Colbert County, there shall be levied and assessed a court cost of twenty-five dollars ($25) in all cases in which court costs are assessed which are determined by the judge to be domestic violence cases.
