Section 45-39-200.04 Transfer of duties from Tax Assessor and Tax Collector. The county license commissioner shall perform all duties relative to the assessment and collection of taxes on motor vehicles in the county, which have heretofore been performed by the tax assessor and tax collector. Section 45-8-173.01 Additional recording fee; Mental Health Advisory Board; disposition fee. (a) In addition to any fees currently assessed, the probate office of Calhoun County shall charge an additional fee of four dollars ($4) on certain transactions as provided herein in the probate office of Calhoun County. For purposes of this section, a transaction means the recording of any document in the probate office and the issuance of a marriage license by the judge of probate. (a) The commission may refuse to grant a license to an applicant upon a finding by a majority of the entire commission that the applicant has failed to demonstrate the qualifications or standards for a license contained in this section or under the laws and rules under which licensure is sought.
