Section 32-6-45 Immunity from civil liability. No civil or criminal action may be brought against the board, any of its members, the director or director's office or its employees, or any physician licensed to practice in this state, for providing any reports, records, examinations, opinions, or recommendations pursuant to the division. In addition, any other person acting in good faith and without negligence or malicious intent in making a report to the director's office pursuant to this division shall have the immunity from civil liability that might otherwise be incurred or imposed. (a) The Administrative Director of Courts may authorize one or more referee positions in any judicial circuit on either a full-time or a part-time basis upon submission of a written request by the presiding circuit court judge and upon consideration of funding and the number of child support cases in the domestic relations division of the circuit court, including cases brought pursuant to Title IV-D of the Social Security Act.
