Section 40-12-262 Effect of provisions relative to registration and display of tags
on nonresidents; international registration plan; temporary trip permit; penalties. (a) The
provisions of the foregoing sections relative to registration and display of registration
numbers shall not apply to a motor vehicle owned by a nonresident of this state and not used
for hire or used for commercial purposes in this state for a period of 30 days from date of
entering the state; provided, that the owner thereof shall have complied with the provisions

Section 40-12-293 Exemption from certain other licensing requirements, license or privilege
taxes and ad valorem taxation; exceptions. Except for the provisions of Sections 40-12-260
and 40-12-261, a vehicle which has been registered and licensed as a "vintage vehicle"
pursuant to this division shall not be subject to the motor vehicle licensing requirements
of Division 1 of this article, nor any other law prescribing or requiring the payment of a

Section 41-27-42 Assessment of penalties for noncompliance. (a) If the agency determines
that the motor vehicle the driver was driving at the time of the motor vehicle incident was
not in compliance, the agency shall issue the assessment of a civil penalty in the amount
of two hundred dollars ($200) for the first offense, three hundred dollars ($300) for a second

Before allowing an individual to accept trip requests through a TNC's digital network as a
TNC driver, all of the following must occur: (1) The individual shall submit an application

Section 40-12-240 Definitions. (a) For the purpose of this article, the following terms
shall have the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) DEPARTMENT. The Alabama

Section 12-14-91 Admittance into program; completion of program; eligibility; liability
under program. (a) A person charged with a criminal offense under the jurisdiction of the
municipal court in a municipality that has established a pretrial diversion program may apply
to the court for admittance to the program. (b) Upon receipt of the application and recommendation
