Section 45-23-82.02 Applicants for admittance. (a) A person charged with a criminal offense specified in this subsection whose jurisdiction is in the circuit or district court of the Thirty-third Judicial Circuit may apply to the District Attorney of the Thirty-third Judicial Circuit for admittance to the pretrial diversion program. (b) A person charged only with any of the following offenses may apply for the program: (1) A traffic offense, other than driving under the influence (DUI). (2) A property offense. (3) An offense wherein the victim did not receive serious physical injury. (4) An offense in which the victim was not a child under 14 years of age, a law enforcement officer, a school official, or a correctional officer. (5) A misdemeanor other than one specifically excluded in this section. (a) Every person, except those specifically exempted by statutory enactment, within five years from April 28, 1994, shall procure a boater safety certification before operating a motorized vessel upon the waters of this state, as defined in Section 33-5-3. This section shall not apply to any sailboat, rowboat, or canoe. Section 40-12-290 Registration of vintage vehicle. (a) Subject to the requirements of subsections (b), (c), (d) and (e), the owner of a motor vehicle which is herein defined as a "vintage vehicle", upon application to the judge of probate or commissioner of licenses on special application forms prescribed by the Commissioner of Revenue and the payment of a registration fee of ten dollars ($10), may register the vehicle as a "vintage vehicle" and procure therefor permanent license plates to be issued and displayed on the vehicle.
