Section 34-11-35 Powers of the board. (a) The board shall have the power to adopt and
amend bylaws and rules not inconsistent with the constitution and laws of this state, as may
be reasonably necessary for the proper performance of its duties and the regulation of its
procedures, meetings, records, examinations, and conduct. The board shall have the power to
adopt and amend from time to time rules of professional conduct for professional engineers,
engineer interns, professional land surveyors, land surveyor interns, and corporations, partnerships,
or firms holding certificates of authorization. The board shall adopt and have an official

Section 45-38-71.01 Sale or disposal of county property. (a) This section shall
only apply in Lamar County. (b)(1) All contracts for the sale or disposal of real property,
tangible personal property, equipment, or other items owned by or under the control of the
county commission shall be let by free and open competitive sealed bids. The chair of the
county commission shall certify to the description and condition of the property, shall give
jurisdiction in writing for the disposal of the property, shall estimate the value of the
property, and shall keep the certification as a part of the permanent record of the commission.

Section 28-3A-23 Regulation of grant of licenses. (a) No license prescribed in this
code shall be issued or renewed until the provisions of this code have been complied with
and the filing and license fees other than those levied by a municipality are paid to the

Section 15-23-17 Assessment of additional costs and penalties; collection and disposition
of additional assessments, etc. (a) In all criminal and quasi-criminal proceedings for the

Section 45-9-244 Tobacco products. (a) Upon adoption of the Legislature, there is hereby
imposed on every person, firm, or corporation that sells, stores, delivers, uses, or otherwise
consumes tobacco or tobacco products in Chambers County, a county privilege, license, or excise
tax in the following amounts: (1) Twenty-five cents ($.25) for each package of cigarettes

Section 45-7-241 Levy of tax; disposition of funds; construction with state sales tax
