Section 32-6-3.1 Information and instruction on dangers of drowsy driving. (a) The Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency shall strengthen information on the dangers of drowsy driving in the Alabama Driver's Manual or any other manual or information created for the purpose of preparing an applicant for a driver's license or driver's permit to take the examination required by Section 32-6-3. (b) The State Department of Education shall require any driver's education course offered at a public high school and for which the department issues a certificate of completion pursuant to subdivision (2) of subsection (b) of Section 32-6-7.2, to include in its curriculum instruction on the dangers of drowsy driving.
