Section 11-50-12 Combination of electric light and power plants, etc., and waterworks plants, etc.; use of electric light and power plants, etc., and disposition of revenues therefrom. Section 32-5-215 Windshields must be unobstructed; windshield wipers; tinting. (a) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign, poster, or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield, sidewings, or side or rear windows of such vehicle which obstructs the driver's clear view of the highway or any intersecting highway. (b) The windshield on every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device for cleaning rain, snow, or other moisture from the windshield, which device shall be so constructed as to be controlled or operated by the driver of the vehicle. (b) The Legislature hereby finds and declares that due to the economic, financial, and service impacts associated with the development of electric transmission facilities used for the furnishing of electric service to consumers in this state, it is in the public interest to provide incumbent electric suppliers the right to construct, own, operate, and maintain new transmission facilities that connect to their own electric systems. Section 32-5C-4 Medical exemptions. (a) The Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), upon application from a person required for medical reasons to be shielded from the direct rays of the sun, may issue an exemption from this chapter for any motor vehicle owned by the person or in which the person is a habitual passenger. The application shall be supported by written statement of that fact from a physician licensed to practice medicine in this state. Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), the exemption may be issued with the conditions and limitations prescribed by ALEA.
