Section 16-68-2 (Effective July 1, 2020) Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the
following words have the following meanings: (1) BENEFIT. Recognition, registration, the use
of facilities of a public institution of higher education for meetings or speaking purposes,
the use of channels of communications, and funding sources that are available to student organizations
at the public institution of higher education. (2) CAMPUS COMMUNITY. A public institution
of higher education's students, administrators, faculty, and staff, as well as the invited
guests of the institution and the institution's student organizations, administrators, faculty,
and staff. (3) FREE SPEECH ZONE. An area on campus of a public institution of higher education
that is designated for the purpose of engaging in a protected expressive activity. (4) HARASSMENT.
Expression that is so severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive that it effectively denies

Section 22-30D-3 Definitions. Unless otherwise defined in this chapter, the definitions of
terms included in Section 22-30-3 shall be applicable to this chapter. For the purposes of

Section 11-65-2 Definitions. (a) The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and
others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, unless the context clearly indicates

following meanings: (1) COMMISSION. The Alabama Sentencing Commission, established as a state

Section 25-4-78 Disqualifications for benefits. An individual shall be disqualified for total
or partial unemployment for any of the following: (1) LABOR DISPUTE IN PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.
For any week in which an individual's total or partial unemployment is directly due to a labor
dispute still in active progress in the establishment in which he or she is or was last employed.
For the purposes of this section only, the term labor dispute includes any controversy concerning

Section 6-12-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings: (1) ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION. Increased in accordance with the formula for inflation
adjustment set forth in Exhibit C to the Master Settlement Agreement. (2) AFFILIATE. A person
