Section 32-6-155.1 "Protect Our Environment" distinctive license tag. (a) It is the intent of the Legislature that an environmental tag be issued by the state to be used as an instrument to promote safe environmental practices, environmental awareness, environmental education enhancement, and for the protection of Alabama's precious environment through education. It is the desire of the Legislature to develop and provide comprehensive environmental education programs in which students, teachers, citizens, businesses, and governmental entities can participate in order to promote good environmental practices and thereby protect the environmental diversity and natural resources of the state. (b) As used in this section, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) BOARD. The Board of Directors of Legacy, as it may be constituted from time to time. (2) ENVIRONMENTAL TAG. Section 41-15B-2.2 Allocation of trust fund revenues. (a) The Legislature finds that the number of students attending the several school systems located in those areas of North Alabama that will be directly impacted by the 2005 BRAC and Subsequent BRAC Actions will collectively increase by an estimated 9,000 students. As a result, there will be a need for the construction of additional school facilities as well as the renovation of existing school facilities. The Legislature also finds that the 2005 BRAC and Subsequent BRAC Actions will have a positive impact on future receipts to the Education Trust Fund, as the significant population growth in North Alabama will increase sales, income, and other tax collections.
