Section 32-5A-58.3 Yielding right-of-way to vehicles and pedestrian workers engaged in collection of garbage, trash, refuse, or recycling materials. (a) The driver of a motor vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian worker engaged in the collection of garbage, trash, refuse, or recycling materials along a roadway whenever the driver is reasonably notified of the presence of the worker by the presence of a garbage, trash, refuse, or recycling collection vehicle or by a warning sign or device. (a) Failure to report an accident as required in Section 32-7-5 shall be punished by a fine not in excess of $25.00, and in the event of injury or damage to the person or property of another in such accident, the director shall suspend the license of the person failing to make such report or the nonresident's operating privilege of such person until such report has been filed and for such further period not to exceed 30 days as the director may fix.
