Section 32-5A-263 Riding on roadways and bicycle paths; right side signalling. (a) Every person
operating a bicycle upon a roadway shall ride as near to the right side of the roadway as
practicable, exercising due care when passing a standing vehicle or one proceeding in the
same direction. (b) Persons riding bicycles upon a roadway shall not ride more than two abreast
except on paths or parts of roadways set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles. (c) Wherever
a usable path for bicycles has been provided adjacent to a roadway, bicycle riders shall use

Section 13A-11-75 Permit to carry pistol in vehicle or concealed on person - Issuance; fee;
revocation; release of information. (a)(1)a. The sheriff of a county, upon the application
of any person residing in that county, within 30 days from receipt of a complete application
and accompanying fee, shall issue or renew a permit for such person to carry a pistol in a
vehicle or concealed on or about his or her person within this state for one- to five-year
increments, as requested by the person seeking the permit, from date of issue, unless the
sheriff determines that the person is prohibited from the possession of a pistol or firearm
pursuant to state or federal law, or has a reasonable suspicion that the person may use a
weapon unlawfully or in such other manner that would endanger the person's self or others.

force upon another person in order to defend himself or herself or a third person from what
he or she reasonably believes to be the use or imminent use of unlawful physical force by

Section 32-7-5 Report required following accident. The operator of every motor vehicle which
is in any manner involved in an accident within this state, in which any person is killed
or injured or in which damage to the property of any one person, including himself or herself,
in excess of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) is sustained, shall within 30 days after the
accident report the matter in writing to the director. The report, the form of which shall
be prescribed by the director, shall contain only the information necessary to enable the
director to determine whether the requirements for the deposit of security under Section 32-7-6
are inapplicable by reason of the existence of insurance or other exceptions specified in
