All certification permits issued by the State Board of Health shall remain in effect until their termination date or reissued by the Department of Forensic Sciences. Section 34-1A-8 General applicability. (a) This chapter and the rules and regulations promulgated pursuant to this chapter shall have uniform force and effect throughout the state. A municipality or county shall not enact an order, ordinance, rule, or regulation requiring a person or business entity to obtain a certification from the municipality or county, other than proof of a valid license issued by the board. (a) Except as provided in this section, it is the intention of this chapter to occupy by preemption the field of air pollution control within all areas of the State of Alabama.
