Section 22-9A-7 Registration of births. (a) A certificate of birth for each live birth that
occurs in this state shall be filed with the Office of Vital Statistics, or as otherwise directed
by the State Registrar, within five days after the birth and shall be registered if it has
been completed and filed in accordance with this section. (b)(1) When a birth occurs in an
institution or en route to the institution, the person in charge of the institution or his
or her designated representative shall obtain the personal data, prepare the certificate,
secure the signatures required, and file the certificate as directed in subsection (a) or
as directed by the State Registrar within the required five days. The physician or other person
in attendance shall provide the medical information required by the certificate and certify

Section 32-5-222 Requirements for child passenger restraints. (a) Every person transporting
a child in a motor vehicle operated on the roadways, streets, or highways of this state, shall
provide for the protection of the child by properly using an aftermarket or integrated child
passenger restraint system meeting applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards and the
requirements of subsection (b). This section shall not be interpreted to release in part or
in whole the responsibility of an automobile manufacturer to insure the safety of children
to a level at least equivalent to existing federal safety standards for adults. In no event
shall failure to wear a child passenger restraint system be considered as contributory negligence.
The term "motor vehicle" as used in this section shall include a passenger car,
pickup truck, van (seating capacity of 10 or less), minivan, or sports utility vehicle. (b)

Section 32-5A-112 Vehicle entering stop or yield intersection; collision as prima facie evidence
of failure to yield. (a) Preferential right-of-way at an intersection may be indicated by

Section 32-7-18 Proof of financial responsibility required upon certain convictions. (a) Whenever
the director, under any law of this state, suspends or revokes the license of any person upon
receiving record of a conviction or a forfeiture of bail, the director shall also suspend
