(a) The Legislature finds that current economic conditions are such that the number of individuals willing and qualified to operate commercial vehicles is insufficient in relation to the volume of freight available, and that it will be advantageous, consistent with Commercial Driver License safety rules, for this state to issue Class A commercial driver licenses to persons who have reached the age of 18 years and have not yet reached the age of 21 years and who otherwise meet the requirements imposed by state and federal law to obtain a commercial driver license for use only in intrastate commerce. Section 32-9A-6 Interstate hours of service limitations. (a) The intrastate hours of service limitations applied to the drivers of commercial motor vehicles operating in intrastate transportation within a 75 air-mile radius of their normal work reporting location, following 10 consecutive hours off duty except when prohibited by federal rule or law, shall be the following: (1) A 12-hour driving limit, provided driving a commercial motor vehicle after having been on duty for more than 15 hours is prohibited. Section 34-9-6.1 Mobile dental facilities or portable dental operations. (a) For purposes of this section, the following words have the following meanings: (1) DENTAL HOME. The dental home is the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive of all aspects of oral health care, delivered in a comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated, and family-centered way.
