Section 32-5A-116 Highway construction and maintenance. (a) The driver of a vehicle shall yield
the right-of-way to any authorized vehicle or pedestrian actually engaged in work upon a highway
within any highway construction or maintenance area indicated by official traffic-control
devices. (b) The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to any authorized vehicle
obviously and actually engaged in work upon a highway whenever such vehicle displays such
flashing lights as may be required or permitted by law or by regulation of the department.

Section 32-5A-80 Driving on right side of roadway; exceptions. (a) Upon all roadways of sufficient
width, a vehicle shall be driven upon the right half of the roadway, except under any of the
following conditions: (1) When overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same
direction under the rules governing such movement. (2) When an obstruction exists making it
necessary to drive to the left of the center of the highway; provided, any person doing so

Section 23-5-2 Driving around, destruction, etc., of detour or warning sign, or barricade or
fence. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively
ascribed to them by this subsection: (1) DETOUR SIGN. Any sign placed across or on a public
road of the state by the state, the county or municipal authorities, or by their contractors,

Section 32-8-2 Definitions. For the purpose of this chapter, the following terms shall have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly

Section 32-9-20 Schedule of restrictions. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to drive
or move on any highway in this state any vehicle or vehicles of a size or weight except in

Section 32-5A-58.3 Yielding right-of-way to vehicles and pedestrian workers engaged in collection
of garbage, trash, refuse, or recycling materials. (a) The driver of a motor vehicle shall

Section 32-5A-115 Operation of vehicles on approach of authorized emergency vehicles; signals
on emergency vehicles; duty of emergency vehicle driver. (a) Upon the immediate approach of
an authorized emergency vehicle equipped with at least one lighted lamp and audible signal
as is required by law, the driver of every other vehicle shall yield the right-of-way and
shall immediately drive to a position parallel to, and as close as possible to, the right-hand
