Section 45-46-210.01 Additional issuance fee for motor vehicle tags. (a)(1) For purposes of
this section, the term motor vehicle means a motor vehicle as defined in Section 40-12-240,
excluding any trailer qualifying as a utility trailer. (2) The Marengo County Commission may
levy an additional annual issuance fee, not to exceed five dollars ($5), for each motor vehicle
tag issued in the county or otherwise subject to ad valorem taxation by the county unless
specifically exempted therefrom. (3) The additional fee authorized by this section shall become
due at the same time the state license and registration fee becomes due pursuant to Section
32-6-61, provided that the additional annual fee is not collected more than once in a 12-month
period per vehicle. (4) Any fee levied pursuant to this section may be removed at the discretion
of the taxing authority provided the removal does not affect any contractual obligation. (b)

Section 45-49-170 Mobile County Litter Control Act. (a)(1) Recognizing the rapid growth of
the County of Mobile and the need for a healthful, clean, and beautiful environment; and further
recognizing that the proliferation and accumulation of litter discarded throughout Mobile
County impairs this need and constitutes a public health hazard; and further recognizing the
addition need of effective litter control, there is hereby enacted this Mobile County Litter
Control Act. (2) The purpose of this section is to accomplish litter control throughout Mobile
County and its municipalities. (b) As used in this section unless the context indicates otherwise:
(1) LITTER. Any bottles, glass, crockery, cans, scrapmetal, junk, paper, garbage, rubbish,

Section 45-49-202 License procedures by mail. (a) This section shall apply only in counties
having a population of 300,000 or more according to the last or any subsequent federal census.
(b) On or after September 1st of each year, the Judge of Probate of Mobile County, if he or
she elects to do so, may mail an application in the form and containing the information hereinafter
provided to all owners of motor vehicles listed as such in the motor vehicle license records,
including transfers, in his or her office or, at his or her option, to such owners as request

of the accumulation and storage of junk, inoperable motor vehicles, and other litter within
the unincorporated areas of Chambers County, and licensing the operation of junkyards within

and necessary to promote the public safety, health, welfare, convenience, and enjoyment of

Section 12-12-60 Electronic uniform non-traffic citation and complaint. (a)(1) Whenever any
person is arrested for a violation of any non-traffic offense enumerated in Rule 20, Appendix
B of the Alabama Rules of Judicial Administration, as adopted by the Supreme Court of Alabama,
the arresting officer, unless otherwise provided in this section, shall take the name and

Section 16-27A-4 Notice of violation; destruction of images and information. (a) After review
of the violation by a law enforcement officer or trained technician, the governing body or
contractor shall send the owner of a vehicle that has been detected by the device as being
involved in a school bus violation a notice of violation by U. S. mail. A notice of violation
shall be mailed no later than 14 days after being reviewed by law enforcement. In the event
there is more than one owner, the notice may be issued to the first person listed on the title

Section 32-5A-195 Cancellation, suspension, or revocation of driver's license; grounds, procedure,
etc. (a) The Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency is authorized to cancel
any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof
or that the licensee failed to give the correct or required information in his or her application.
Upon such cancellation, the licensee must surrender the license so cancelled. If the licensee

Section 32-6-9 Possession and display of license. (a) Every licensee shall have his or her
license in his or her immediate possession at all times when driving a motor vehicle and shall
display the same, upon demand of a judge of any court, a peace officer, or a state trooper.

Section 32-7A-6 Evidence of insurance; insurance card. (a) Every operator of a motor vehicle
subject to the provisions of Section 32-7A-4 shall carry within the vehicle evidence of insurance.
