Section 31-9-18 Governor, etc., may accept services, etc., from federal government, private persons, etc. (a) Whenever the federal government or any agency or officer thereof shall offer to the state, or through the state to any political subdivision thereof, services, equipment, supplies, materials, or funds by way of gift, grant, or loan for purposes of emergency management, the state, acting through the Governor, or such political subdivision acting through its governing body may accept such offer, and upon such acceptance the Governor of the state or governing body of such political subdivision may authorize any officer of the state or of the political subdivision, as the case may be, to receive such services, equipment, supplies, materials, or funds on behalf of the state or such political subdivision. Section 9-3-10.1 Emergency Forest Fire, Insect and Disease Fund; creation; annual automatic appropriation; ceiling on amount; expenditures; replenishment; Governor's approval. (a) There is hereby established an Emergency Forest Fire, Insect and Disease Fund into which there is automatically appropriated two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) annually at the beginning of each state fiscal year. The state Comptroller shall transfer moneys from the General Fund to the emergency fund annually at the beginning of each state fiscal year.
