Section 45-14-130.02 Powers and duties. It shall be the duty of the county engineer,
in accordance with policy established by the commission, within the law of the State of Alabama
to: (1) employ, supervise, and direct all such assistants as are necessary to properly maintain
and construct the public roads, highways, bridges, and ferries of Clay County, and he or she
shall have authority to prescribe their duties, and to discharge employees for cause; (2)
perform such engineering service and surveying as may be required; (3) maintain the necessary

Section 27-7-17 Licenses - Contents; centralized producer license registry. (a) The
license of a producer or service representative shall state the name and address of the licensee,
the personal identification number, date of issuance, the lines of authority, the expiration

Section 36-21-60 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases
shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

Section 45-34-242.03 Enforcement; tobacco stamps; reporting. It shall be the duty of
the County Commission of Henry County to enforce this part upon its imposing the tax thereunder,
and it shall have the right itself, or its members or its agents, to examine the books, reports,
and accounts of every dealer, storer, or distributor engaged in the business for which the
tax is hereby levied and to make any and all rules and regulations necessary and proper for

Section 45-37-210 Metropolitan Rapid Rail Study Commission. (a) There is created a rapid
rail authority in Jefferson County to be called the Metropolitan Rapid Rail Study Commission,
