Section 9-16-79 Hearings and appeals procedure. Procedures for hearings and appeals under this article shall be made as herein provided and in accordance with such general rules and regulations as the regulatory authority may prescribe. These procedures shall take precedence over the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act, which shall in no respect apply to proceedings arising under this article. (1)a. A determination by the regulatory authority as specified by law shall be made promptly and shall include a statement as to the action to be taken and reasons therefor. Notice of the determination or decision shall be promptly given to the parties involved by delivery or by mailing such notices to their last known addresses. Section 12-21-225 Testimony for state or defendant by convict. (a) The presiding judge of any circuit court or district court having reason to believe that the testimony of any convict serving a sentence in the penitentiary or to hard labor for the county is necessary in any criminal prosecution for the state and that other evidence cannot be obtained on behalf of the state may order a writ to be issued by the clerk, commanding the Board of Corrections to have the convict before the court on a specified day to give testimony in the particular case for the state. (a) Any person may file a complaint with the board against any licensed physical therapist or licensed physical therapist assistant in the state charging the person with a violation of this article. Appeals to the board of adjustment may be taken by any person aggrieved or by any officer or department of Mobile County affected by any decision of any administrative officer representing the county in an official capacity in the enforcement of this part or of any ordinance or regulation adopted pursuant to this part.
