Section 11-92C-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words have the following meanings: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance with Section 11-92C-3. (2) AUTHORITY. Any local redevelopment authority organized pursuant to this chapter. (3) AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION. A resolution adopted by the governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance with Section 11-92C-3, which authorizes the incorporation of the authority. (4) AUTHORIZING SUBDIVISION. Any county or municipality that has adopted an authorizing resolution. (5) BOARD. The board of directors of an authority. (6) BONDS. Any bonds, notes, certificates, or any other form of indebtedness representing an obligation to pay money. (7) CONTIGUOUS. Section 22-18-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) ADVANCED EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN. Any person 18 years of age or older who satisfies all of the following: a. Has successfully completed the advanced emergency medical technician course of instruction, or its equivalent, as approved by the State Board of Health. b. Section 40-12-253 Ad valorem taxation of motor vehicles. (a) Effective January 1, 2000, ad valorem taxes on motor vehicles shall be assessed and the tax collected forward on a current basis to coincide with the collection of motor vehicle license taxes and registration fees. (1) Ad valorem taxes on motor vehicles shall become due and payable on the first day of the registration renewal month of the owner, the date the motor vehicle enters the State of Alabama, the date the motor vehicle is removed from the inventory of a dealer, or the date on which the motor vehicle is otherwise determined to be taxable, whichever comes first. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. Section 28-9-4 Prohibited acts - Suppliers. A supplier is prohibited from doing the following: (1) Fail to provide each wholesaler of the supplier's brand or brands with a written agreement which contains in total the supplier's agreement with each wholesaler, and designates a specific exclusive sales territory.
