Section 27-17A-50 Financial interest in asset or business in which endowment care trust invests, etc.; disposition of funds. (a) No cemetery authority may directly or indirectly require or direct the investment, reinvestment, or retention by a qualified trustee of any part of an endowment care trust in any asset or business in which the cemetery authority or any officer, director, owner, partner, or employee of the cemetery authority has a financial interest. The Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, with the approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized to designate as "livestock theft investigator" any employee or employees of the Department of Agriculture and Industries performing duties relating to the enforcement of the livestock laws of this state. (a) If a petition is filed under this chapter, the court may set a preliminary hearing as necessary, and shall cause to be issued all summonses and notices as required by law and otherwise deemed necessary and appropriate.
