Section 31-14-3 Creation; composition; meetings; compensation; powers and duties. (a)
There is created the Alabama Job Creation and Military Stability Commission. Members of the
commission shall include a chair and two vice chairs. The chair shall be the Lieutenant Governor,
or in the absence of a Lieutenant Governor, the chair shall be the Governor, or his or her
designee. The vice chairs shall be the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, or his or her
designee, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or his or her designee. (b) The

Section 11-92C-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words
have the following meanings: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application
with the governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance with Section 11-92C-3.
(2) AUTHORITY. Any local redevelopment authority organized pursuant to this chapter. (3) AUTHORIZING
RESOLUTION. A resolution adopted by the governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance

Section 12-21-135.1 Video testimony by certain witnesses. (a) This section shall
be known as the "Alabama Armed Services Accommodation Act." (b) The Legislature
finds it to be an important matter of public policy that an accommodation be made for military
members who are asked to testify in civil or criminal trials in this state but are unable
to attend in person. The purpose of this section is to ease the burdens on military
personnel and their families brought on by the duty of appearing as a witness in a trial in
this state when summoned. The purpose of this section is also to allow members of the
armed services to assist in trials in this state as witnesses without interrupting their military

Section 31-9-40 Compact adopted and enacted. The Emergency Management Assistance Compact
is enacted into law and entered with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the

been convicted in this state or elsewhere of committing or attempting to commit a crime of

Section 25-4-78 Disqualifications for benefits. An individual shall be disqualified
for total or partial unemployment for any of the following: (1) LABOR DISPUTE IN PLACE OF
EMPLOYMENT. For any week in which an individual's total or partial unemployment is directly
due to a labor dispute still in active progress in the establishment in which he or she is
or was last employed. For the purposes of this section only, the term labor dispute
includes any controversy concerning terms, tenure, or conditions of employment, or concerning
