Section 30-3-69 Liability of employers who fail to answer or fail or refuse to withhold. An employer who willfully fails or refuses to withhold or pay the amounts as ordered may be held to be in contempt of court. Additionally, such employer may be personally liable to the obligee for failure to answer or withhold, and in such cases conditional and final judgment for the amounts ordered to be withheld may be entered by the court and against the employer as in the case of conditional and final judgment against a garnishee for failure to answer, as provided in Section 6-6-457.
