Section 34-14C-4 Licensure; inspections. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a home medical equipment services provider shall be licensed annually by the board before the provider may engage in the provision of home medical equipment services. In Alabama, when a single business entity provides home medical equipment services from more than one location within the state, each such location shall be licensed. A provider of home medical equipment services that has a principal place of business outside this state shall maintain at least one physical location within this state, each of which shall be licensed. (b) A license applicant shall submit the application for licensing or renewal to the board on a form promulgated and required by the board. Applicants shall pay a reasonable nonrefundable fee established by the board at the time the application is submitted. Section 22-24-8 Drilling requirements. It shall be unlawful and a violation of this chapter to drill a water well within the State of Alabama unless the following provisions are complied with: (1) The driller of the water well shall be licensed as provided in Section 22-24-5. (2) The driller shall, at all times during the drilling of a water well, keep posted in a conspicuous location, at or near the well being drilled or on his person, the appropriate license certificate as furnished by the board. The SHPDA, pursuant to the provisions of Section 22-21-274, shall prescribe by rules and regulations the procedures for review of applications for certificates of need and for issuance of certificates of need.
