Section 22-35-9 Administration cost of chapter; annual budgets for administration. (a) Administration
cost of all the provisions of this chapter shall be charged to the fund. Annual budgets for
administration are to be included as part of the regular department budget, except that the
annual budget of the management board shall not be a part of the department budget. There
is hereby appropriated to the department by the Legislature, for the fiscal year ending September
30, 1994, and for each following fiscal year, the department's actual cost, not to exceed
8 percent of total fees and charges collected annually or a maximum of seven hundred five
thousand dollars ($705,000) per year, whichever is less, excluding any legal expenses incurred
by the department in discharging its duties under the provisions of this chapter. In no event
shall the department's budget provisions for this activity in any given year be less than

Section 22-6-32 Unobligated balance not to revert to General Fund but to be carried forward.
Any unobligated balance in said fund shall not revert to the General Fund at the end of any
fiscal year but shall be automatically carried forward and available to be appropriated by
the Alabama Legislature in each succeeding fiscal year in said fund. Such appropriations shall

Section 32-5A-191.2 Administration and disposition of funds in Alabama Head and Spinal Cord
Injury Trust Fund. (a) Beginning October 1, 1994, moneys in the Alabama Head and Spinal Cord
Injury Trust Fund shall be distributed to the Division of Rehabilitation Services in the State
Department of Education for the following purposes: (1) As a payer of last resort for the
costs of care provided in this state for citizens of this state who have survived neuro-trauma
with head or spinal cord injuries. Expenditures for spinal cord injury and head injury care
shall be made by the Division of Rehabilitation Services according to criteria established
by the Alabama Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Advisory Board. Expenditures may include

Section 36-36-3 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall

Section 37-11C-4 Allowance and claim of tax credits; Railroad Rehabilitation Income Tax Credit
Account; written transfer agreements. (a) For tax years beginning after December 31, 2019,
there is a credit allowed against the state income tax levied by Section 40-18-2 equal to
50 percent of an eligible taxpayer's qualified railroad rehabilitation expenditures. The tax
credit allowed under this section may not exceed three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500)
multiplied by the number of miles of railroad track owned or leased within the state by the
eligible taxpayer at the close of the taxable year. (b) There is created within the Education
Trust Fund a separate account named the Railroad Rehabilitation Income Tax Credit Account.

Section 40-9F-33 Limitations on tax credits; Historic Income Tax Credit Account; transfer or
assignment of tax credits. (a) The state portion of any tax credit against the tax imposed
by Chapter 18 for the taxable year in which the certified rehabilitation is placed in service,
shall be equal to 25 percent of the qualified rehabilitation expenditures for certified historic
structures. No tax credit claimed for any certified rehabilitation may exceed five million
dollars ($5,000,000) for all allowable property types except a certified historic residential

Section 16-25-11.21 Purchase of credit for prior service to certain institutions of higher
education. (a) Any active, vested, and contributing member of the Teachers' Retirement System
who has been employed in public education for a minimum of 10 years may claim and purchase
service credit in the system not to exceed five years for prior service between 1974 and 1989
rendered to an educational institution of higher education that receives direct appropriations
from the Education Trust Fund but does not participate in the Teachers' Retirement System.
The certification of prior service claimed under this section shall conform to applicable
administrative rules and procedures of the Teachers' Retirement System. Members shall receive
credit for the prior service when they remit to the system the contributions required by subsection
