Section 29-4-70 President Pro Tempore of the Senate. (a) If the senator who is serving as the
President Pro Tempore of the Senate on the date of the general election at which members of
the Senate are elected to four-year terms is reelected to the Senate, the senator shall continue
to serve as President Pro Tempore of the Senate until a successor President Pro Tempore is
selected pursuant to Section 48.01 of the Official Recompilation of the Constitution of Alabama
of 1901, as amended. (b) If the senator serving as the President Pro Tempore of the Senate
ceases service as a Senator for any reason prior to election of a President Pro Tempore pursuant
to Section 48.01 of the Official Recompilation of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as

Section 41-9-234 Committee on Alabama Monument Protection. (a) There is created the Committee
on Alabama Monument Protection. (b) The legislative members of the committee shall be appointed
and reappointed at the beginning of each legislative quadrennium. The members of the committee
