Section 11-86A-9 Powers of authority vested in board of directors; officers and directors of
authority; proceedings of board of directors to be reduced to writing and signed by two directors;
admissibility of evidence of proceedings of board of directors; adoption of bylaws; notice
of meetings; attendance at meetings; qualifications. (a) All powers of an authority shall
be vested in its board of directors. (b) The initial board of directors of an authority shall
be specified in the articles, or as provided in Section 11-86A-6. (c) Each authority shall
be composed of a chair, vice chair, secretary, and treasurer elected by the board of directors.
The offices of secretary and treasurer may be held by the same person. A majority of the directors
shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The officers and directors shall
serve for the terms provided for in the articles. A director may not receive any salary for

Section 16-51-4 Board of trustees - Meetings. (a) The Board of Trustees of the University of
North Alabama shall hold its regular annual meeting each year at the university on the first
Monday in June, unless the board shall, in regular session, determine to hold its meetings
at some other time and place. The board may establish a schedule of meetings at such intervals
as it deems appropriate and may amend the schedule at any duly called meeting. Special meetings
of the board may be assembled by either one of the two methods outlined as follows: (1) Special
meetings of the board may be called by the Governor. In calling such special meetings the
Governor shall mail a written notice to each trustee at least 10 days in advance of the date

the Health Care Information and Data Advisory Council to give advice and guidance to SHPDA
in adopting rules necessary to implement this article, to review and serve as consultants

Section 24-7-2 Mowa Choctaw Housing Authority created; membership; terms of office; officers;
removal; quorum; proxies; location of meetings. There is created and established an Indian
housing authority for the jurisdictions of Mobile and Washington Counties, to be styled the
Mowa Choctaw Housing Authority, whose purpose shall be the provision of safe and decent dwelling
places for low-income persons and families in Indian areas. The Mowa Choctaw Housing Authority
shall consist of seven members, and shall be appointed by the Mowa Choctaw Tribal Council.
No person shall be barred from serving as a member of the authority because he or she is a

Section 36-25A-5.1 Participation by electronic communications. (a) Except as provided in subsection
(d), members of a governmental body as defined in Section 36-25A-2, that is comprised of members
from two or more counties, may participate in a meeting of that governmental body by means
of telephone conference, video conference, or other similar communications equipment which
allows all persons participating in the meeting to hear each other at the same time. Participation
