Section 41-9-338.2 Creation; composition; meetings; funding; termination. (a)(1) The Women's Tribute Statue Commission is created to fund, commission, and place statues of Rosa Parks and Helen Keller. The statue of Rosa Parks shall be placed on the West front of the Capitol facing Bainbridge Street. The statue of Helen Keller shall be placed on the grounds of the Capitol in a place where it will be readily accessible to, and touchable by, individuals with disabilities. (2) The commission may solicit input from public and private organizations and entities regarding the design and proposed plans for the statues. Section 45-28-220.02 Etowah County Sports Hall of Fame. (a) In Etowah County, there is hereby created the Etowah County Sports Hall of Fame Committee. The Etowah County Sports Hall of Fame Committee shall have full authority to direct, supervise, manage, and control all matters and affairs pertaining to the Etowah County Sports Hall of Fame which is hereby established. (b) The Etowah County Sports Hall of Fame shall be operated as a nonprofit organization.
