Section 11-88-94 Form, terms, denominations, etc., of notes issued under article; sale, exchange, etc., generally; sale price; applicability of certain other provisions of law. Any notes or bonds issued under this article may be secured by a pledge of the assessments made with respect to the improvement being financed. They may be made payable at such place or places within or without the State of Alabama as the board may designate. Any such bonds shall be payable in annual installments beginning one year and ending 10 years from their date, the amount of no annual installment to exceed the amount of any other annual installment by more than $5,000.00. Such bonds may either be sold as provided in Section 11-88-95 or may be delivered at not less than par plus accrued interest to the contractor in payment or part payment for the work of the improvements. Section 25-4-134 Procedures for collection of delinquent contribution payments. (a) Generally. The contributions, interest, and penalties required to be paid under this chapter shall be a first and prior lien upon all property and rights to property, real or personal, of any employer subject to this chapter. Section 28-3-184 Tax levied; collection; disposition of funds. (a) Levy. In addition to the licenses provided for by Chapter 3A of this title, there is hereby levied a privilege or excise tax on every person licensed under the provisions of said Chapter 3A who sells, stores or receives for the purpose of distribution, to any person, firm, corporation, club or association within the State of Alabama any malt or brewed beverages. Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1) CONTRACTOR. Any natural person, partnership, company, firm, corporation, association, limited liability company, cooperative, or other legal entity licensed by the Alabama State Licensing Board for General Contractors.
