Section 29-2-101 Oversight Committee - Created; members; meetings. There is created a Permanent
Joint Legislative Oversight Committee of Children in State Care. The committee shall consist
of three members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House and
three members of the Senate appointed by the Lieutenant Governor. The committee shall hold
its organizational meeting within 30 days after August 1, 1998. The committee shall meet at
the call of the chair or any majority of the members thereof; provided, that the committee
shall meet at least once each four months. The committee shall have a continuing existence
and may meet, act, and conduct its business at any place within this state during the sessions
