Section 29-1-13 Journals of House and Senate - Delivery to Secretary of State; compensation. The Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives shall be allowed 16 weeks from the date of the final adjournment of each session of the Legislature of Alabama, other than the 10-day or organization session, in which to check, compare, and deliver the journals of the House and Senate to the Secretary of State in such form or state of completion, including camera ready drafts, the final form for printing, or other forms, as the clerk or secretary deem necessary and appropriate, and copy and deliver the journals of their respective houses to the public printer; or, alternatively, to prepare the final bound and printed journals, if the secretary or clerk in his or her discretion decides to do so, within his or her own respective office.
