Section 44-1-10 Penalties; enforcement of chapter. (a) Violations of the provisions of this chapter shall be penalized or punished as follows: (1) Any person, partnership, corporation or association that violates the provisions of this chapter or any regulations promulgated under the authority delegated to the youth services board or to the state youth services director, after notice of such violation served upon such person, partnership, corporation or association by United States registered or certified mail to the last known address thereof, shall be liable to pay to the department of youth services a penalty of $50.00 per day for each day such violation continues after receipt of such notice. Section 34-1A-5 Licenses - Issuance; fees; suspension or revocation; nonresident license; display; written service contracts; confidential information. (a) The board shall issue licenses authorized by this chapter to all qualified individuals in accordance with rules or regulations established by the board. Section 34-1A-7 Licenses - Required. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to engage in a business regulated by this chapter in this state without a current valid license or in violation of this chapter and applicable rules and regulations of the board.
