Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment" means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined in this section prior to such date and, subject to the other provisions of this section, services performed for remuneration after December 31, 1977, including service in interstate commerce, by: a. Any officer of a corporation; or b. Any individual who, under the usual common law rules applicable in determining the employer-employee relationship, has the status of an employee; or c. Any individual other than an individual who is an employee under paragraphs a. or b. of this subdivision (1) who performs services for remuneration for any person: 1. Section 11-89A-10 Security for payment of bonds; contracts and agreements to secure. (a) Any bonds issued by the authority shall be revenue bonds and shall be payable solely out of such revenues of the authority as may be designated in the proceedings of the board under which they shall be authorized to be issued. (a) Except as herein otherwise provided, all of the provisions of this chapter shall be applicable to so much of the estates of nonresident decedents as is subject to estate tax under the act of Congress in effect at the time of the death of decedent as consists of real estate or tangible personal property located within this state or other items of property or interest therein lawfully subject to the imposition of an estate tax by the State of Alabama.
