Section 38-4-14 Limitations on use of public assistance benefits. (a) For the purposes of this
section, the term public assistance benefits means money or property provided directly or
indirectly to eligible persons through programs of the federal government, the state, or any
political subdivision thereof, and administered by the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
(b)(1) A recipient of public assistance benefits may not use any portion of the benefits for
the purchase of any alcoholic beverage, tobacco product, or lottery ticket. Any person who
violates this subsection shall reimburse the Department of Human Resources for the purchase
and shall be subject to the following sanctions: a. Upon the first violation, the person shall
be disqualified from receiving public assistance benefits by means of direct cash payment
or an electronic benefits transfer access card for one month. b. Upon the second violation,

Section 45-36-252.06 Bonds of the authority; obligations. (a) In addition to all other powers
now or hereafter granted by law, the authority shall have the following powers, together with
all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate form: (1)

Section 45-49-249.51 Amount of tax. This subpart applies to the collection and enforcement
of all county privilege, license, or excise taxes levied or authorized to be levied by local
law or resolution of the Mobile County Commission on the sale, distribution, storage, use,

Section 11-3-11.3 Collection of local taxes - Department of Revenue. (a) Counties may, upon
request of the county commission, engage the Department of Revenue to collect and administer
any county sales, use, rental, lodgings, tobacco, or other local taxes for which there is

Section 2-27-11 Use permits. (a) Each person shall obtain a pesticide-use permit from the commissioner
before the person is eligible to purchase and use a restricted-use pesticide. Application
