Section 45-34-82.02 Applicants for admittance. (a) A person charged with a criminal offense
specified in this subsection whose jurisdiction is in the Circuit or District Court of the
Twentieth Judicial Circuit may apply to the District Attorney of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit
for admittance to the pretrial diversion program. (b) A person charged with any of the following
offenses may apply for the program: (1) A traffic offense, other than driving under the influence
(DUI) or a traffic offense charged to a commercial driver license holder, whether or not the
holder was operating a commercial motor vehicle at the time of the offense. (2) A property
offense. (3) An offense wherein the victim did not receive serious physical injury. (4) An
offense in which the victim was not a child under 14 years of age, a law enforcement officer,
a school official, or a correctional officer. (5) A misdemeanor other than one specifically

Section 45-43-170.05 Solid waste disposal - Management and enforcement. With regard to the
collection of solid wastes, the health department shall exercise such supervision over equipment,
methodology, and personnel in the management of solid wastes as may be necessary to enforce
sanitary requirements, and the state and county boards of health may adopt such rules and
regulations as may be needed to specify methodology and procedures to meet the requirements

finds that the authority of the Legislature to enact local laws regulating the liquor traffic
is preserved in Section 104 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, now appearing as Section

(a) When not otherwise provided by law, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries within

Section 13A-11-61.3 Regulation of firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories. (a) The purpose
of this section is to establish within the Legislature complete control over regulation and
policy pertaining to firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories in order to ensure that

Section 13A-11-75 Permit to carry pistol in vehicle or concealed on person - Issuance; fee;
revocation; release of information. (a)(1)a. The sheriff of a county, upon the application
of any person residing in that county, within 30 days from receipt of a complete application
and accompanying fee, shall issue or renew a permit for such person to carry a pistol in a
vehicle or concealed on or about his or her person within this state for one- to five-year
increments, as requested by the person seeking the permit, from date of issue, unless the

Section 22-18-9 Criminal history background checks. (a) When reviewing an applicant for initial
licensure under this article, the Board of Health may require a fingerprint-based state and
national criminal background check through the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency for purposes
of determining the applicant's suitability for licensure. (b) The applicant shall pay all
costs associated with a required criminal background check at the same time the applicant
