Section 27-9-1 "Adjuster" defined. Repealed by Act 2011-637, §3, effective January 1, 2012. (a) An "adjuster" is a person who, for compensation as an independent contractor, or as the employee of such an independent contractor or for fee or commission, investigates and negotiates settlement of claims arising under insurance contracts on behalf of the insurer. (a) A person may not operate as a warrantor or represent to the public that the person is a warrantor unless the person is registered with the department on a form prescribed by the commissioner. (a) An individual claiming to be a resident for purposes of this chapter shall certify by a signed statement each of the following: (1) A specific address or location within the State of Alabama as his or her residence. Section 2-27-56 Surety bond or liability insurance. Each applicant for a license to perform the custom application of pesticides shall, before a license is issued to him, furnish and file with the commissioner a surety bond in which the State of Alabama is named as obligee in the sum of $3,000.00 for each applicant operating ground equipment or not more than two aircraft. Section 27-2B-3 Preparation and submission of RBC report; formulas; desirability of excess capital; adjustment of inaccurate RBC report. (a) Every domestic insurer shall, on or prior to each March 1 (the "filing date"), prepare and submit to the commissioner a report of its RBC levels as of the end of the calendar year just ended, in a form and containing information as is required by the RBC instructions.
