(a) Any person desiring a license to practice veterinary medicine in this state shall make written application in the English language to the board. The application shall show that the applicant is at least 21 years old, is a graduate of an accredited veterinary school, is a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government, and any other information and proof as the board may require pursuant to the administrative code of the board. (a) No license shall be issued by the board without examination of the applicant for the purpose of ascertaining his or her qualifications for such work, except those licenses issued pursuant to Section 34-21A-17. (a) Any person wishing the right to practice chiropractic shall make application to the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners in the form as the board may prescribe. (b) In addition to other requirements established by law and for the purpose of determining an applicant's suitability for a license to practice chiropractic, each applicant shall submit a complete set of fingerprints to the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
