Section 27-1-17 Limitation periods for payment of claims; overdue claims; retroactive denials,
adjustments, etc.; penalties. (a) Each insurer, health service corporation, and health benefit
plan that issues or renews any policy of accident or health insurance providing benefits for
medical or hospital expenses for its insured persons shall pay for services rendered by Alabama
health care providers within 45 calendar days upon receipt of a clean written claim or 30
calendar days upon receipt of a clean electronic claim. If the insurer, health service corporation,
or health benefit plan is denying or pending the claim, the insurer, health service corporation,
or health benefit plan shall, within 45 calendar days for a written claim and 30 calendar
days for an electronic claim, notify the health care provider or certificate holder of the
reason for denying or pending the claim and what, if any, additional information is required

Section 30-6-6 Establishment and funding of facilities. (a) In order to be certified, each
domestic violence center shall do all of the following: (1) Provide a facility that shall
serve as a center to receive and house persons who are victims of domestic violence. For the
purpose of this chapter, minor children and other dependents of a victim, when the dependents
are partly or wholly dependent on the victim for support or services, may be sheltered with

Section 37-2A-8 Provision of basic telephone service and optional telephone features. (a)(1)
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, an entity that is not an incumbent local
exchange carrier shall not be obligated to tariff or otherwise provide basic telephone service.
An incumbent local exchange carrier shall provide, upon reasonable request, basic telephone
service to the premises of a permanent residence within its franchised service territory,
if the costs, including, but not limited to costs of facilities, rights-of-way, and equipment,
of providing basic telephone service to the requesting party does not exceed eight thousand
dollars ($8,000). (2) If the cost exceeds eight thousand dollars ($8,000), as provided in

Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery
or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving
motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state
as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Failure to
comply with this subsection may result in a department imposed penalty of not less than five
hundred dollars ($500) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be multiplied by the
sum of the current violation plus prior violations of this subsection. (b) Every person transporting
motor fuel in Alabama in a highway vehicle other than in its supply tank shall carry on board

Section 15-20A-4 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have

Section 34-27-83 Agency disclosure office policy. Any broker acting in a real estate transaction
shall adopt a written agency disclosure office policy which specifically enumerates the types
of brokerage service arrangements a licensee may offer or accept. (a) The qualifying broker
for each brokerage company shall provide every licensee a copy of the agency disclosure policy
regarding the types of brokerage services offered by their company. This policy shall be explained

be cited as the Energy Security Act of 2015. (b) The Legislature hereby finds and declares
that due to the economic, financial, and service impacts associated with the development of

Section 41-27-61 Rules governing towing and recovery services; service charge dispute resolution
process. (a) Subject to the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act, the Alabama State Law Enforcement
Agency shall establish rules governing the use of towing and recovery services for nonconsensual
towing directed by the agency of commercial motor vehicles as defined by 49 C.F.R. Part 390.5.
At a minimum, the rules shall include all of the following provisions: (1) The agency may
not receive compensation from a towing and recovery service. (2) A state trooper of the agency
may not do any of the following: a. Receive compensation or receive any other incentive, monetary
