Section 34-8B-6 Complaints; hearing; penalties; appeal. (a) All complaints shall be in writing, signed by the person making the complaint, and addressed to the chair of the board. All complaints shall contain the name and address of the person against whom the complaint is brought and a description of the conduct giving rise to the complaint. Complaints shall be submitted within 90 days of such conduct and a copy shall be provided to the licensed court reporter within five business days of receipt by the board. The copy shall be sent by certified mail or by such other means of delivery to ensure that the licensed court reporter charged in the complaint shall receive actual notice. After investigation of the charges, the board shall conduct a hearing at which time it may dismiss the charges, may impose a fine not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000), or may revoke or suspend the license of the licensee. Section 11-70-8 Right to redeem; judgment. (a) If an interested party appears at the hearing and asserts a right to redeem the property, the party may redeem the property by paying all the taxes, interest, municipal liens, penalties, fees, and any other charges due and owing pursuant to Chapter 10 of Title 40, including the amount due to the land commissioner had the property not been sold to the municipality.
