Section 16-5-10 Additional powers and duties of commission. The commission shall exercise the following powers and duties in addition to those otherwise specified in this article: (1) To cause to be made such surveys and evaluations of higher education as are believed necessary for the purpose of providing appropriate information to carry out its powers and duties. (a) The department, acting through the commission, is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations establishing such standards, applicable to generators of hazardous waste as may be necessary to protect human health or the environment. Section 34-21A-3 Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board. (a) There is established the Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board. The board shall consist of nine members who shall, at the time of appointment and during the entire time for which appointed, be residents and citizens of Alabama.
